Vendor spotlight: Matouk goes above & beyond in COVID response
You may know already know of Matouk - one of our favorite bedding companies! They have a well-known reputation for creating luxurious bedding, towels, and more. We love Matouk products and they are some of our best sellers, but not only do this company's home goods exceed expectations — so does their response to the COVID-19 crisis. Their actions make us proud to be associated with Matouk!
As soon as it was becoming apparent there was a pandemic on the horizon,
- Matouk began donating sets of bed linens to healthcare and homeless organizations that provide shelter during the crisis (over 1,000 sets donated!).
- In response to requests for masks from healthcare professionals, the company's artisans in Fall River, Massachusetts switched production from bedsheets to reusable face masks in early March.
- They've donated more than 250,000 masks to hospitals, nursing homes, homeless shelters, and other essential organizations.
Matouk is a family-owned company with three generations' worth of creativity, innovation, and work ethic behind the scenes. It started as a small factory in New York where John Matouk envisioned bringing fine European linens to the American market. Two generations later, the company still focuses on quality and style, while always searching for new ways to conserve energy and protect the environment.
