Laura's Cancer Story
At Bedside Manor, we believe in the power of support - a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being there for someone in their time of need. Today, we want to take a moment to give a special shout-out and show our support for our company owner, Laura Fitch. Laura's life story has been an inspiration for many reasons. She has faced being a quadriplegic from a tragic accident 33 years ago and now faces cancer head-on. Laura has undergone surgery and is now on chemotherapy. Despite these difficulties in life, Laura remains positive and finds encouragement from those around her. She wants to share her story with others facing similar challenges so that they know they are not alone.
Bedside Manor employees started the bracelet program highlighted in this video to help support Laura during her difficult battle against cancer. Employees show solidarity with Laura and her fight against cancer by wearing the same-colored bracelets. Each of the six beaded bracelets is handmade. Every bracelet symbolizes strength, courage, resilience, hope, and love - all needed to face this difficult challenge together. The bracelet program has succeeded, and Laura is overwhelmed by the support. She feels her team is with her every step of the way, which helps her stay motivated to continue her journey.
Laura's story is a shining example of how we can rise above our circumstances and show the world that anything is possible. She continues to be an inspiration to all of us, and her journey serves as a reminder that no matter what adversity we face, with resilience and determination, we can overcome it. Her story has shown us that there is still light in even the darkest moments. Laura knows what it means to be a survivor through strength and courage.
Keep fighting, Laura- we're right here with you.
